The most traditional metal festival in the world is practically around the corner, Therefore, I feel necessary to do at this time, a final recommendation to all those who go and want to make good use of the time: organize the bands you intend to see.
This is not trivial given the large number of groups that will play and considering that there are several stages.
Fortunately the official website of Wacken has a relatively new addition: "The personal running order."
Here's how:
Go to: http://www.wacken.com/
Select your preferred language.
Once in the new screen, stand with your mouse on the tab that says "bands", at the top.
Click on a tab that says "Running tool order." Another screen is displayed and on the bottom says again: "Running order tool."
Click again and then it will be displayed the list of all the groups that will perform at the festival, with a small box before each group. In fact, at the top of the screen says: "Bands I want to see at WOA 2010."
Simply give a click in all groups that interest you.
Once you've selected all your groups, go to the bottom and click where it says: "Create my running order."
It will display a new screen that says "Personal running order", which shows only the groups you selected, and the date, time and the stage where they will play, also tells you if there´s an overlap between bands, so you'll have the chance to decide in advance which band to see.
Finally, go to the bottom and click where it says "print by day" or in "print one page per day", print it and take it to the festival.
Trust me, it may seem that there are too many steps, but it's not that complicated. I don´t think you take more than 10 minutes and instead will be of great utility in the festival.
Good luck and do not forget to comment on whether they were useful or not.
